What’s Special About Camp Hand-in-Hand
Camp Hand-in-Hand is distinguished by its commitment to diversity, providing a unique opportunity for children from different backgrounds and life experiences to come together and share the common experience of summer camp. We are extremely proud of the fact that our staff is as diverse as the campers we serve.
Who We Are
Where We Are
The beautiful 12 acre setting of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in New Canaan and its superb indoor facilities are home to Camp Hand-in-Hand. Whatever the weather, Camp Hand-in-Hand is prepared: the beautiful Great Lawn for outdoor fun and games, and ample room indoors for music, theater and dance activities.

Our Program
Fun, games, friendships, and activities provide lasting memories of a summer well-spent for our campers. A wonderful combination of on-site activities and exciting field trips makes the Camp Hand-in-Hand experience unique. Daily activities begin as groups divide and form for age-appropriate activities and games, taking place both indoors and out. Mid-day, campers meet for lunch together, then afternoon activities, with field trips and off-site swimming as part of the daily schedule; all guarantees a program that is anything but routine. Trips further a field include visits tentatively scheduled for the Norwalk Maritime Center, Stepping Stones, the Beardsley Zoo, Stamford Nature Center, Sherwood Island, and even Boat Camp Day with the Darien Power Squadron. At the close of the camp day an afternoon snack will precede dismissal. Bus transportation for campers from Norwalk and Stamford may be arranged; other campers will need to provide their own transportation.
